The Artists:
Pianist Kathryn Tremills has performed with orchestras across North America. She was an international finalist in the Grace Welsh Prize for piano and has been a national finalist as both soloist and chamber musician in Canadian competitions. Holding degrees from the University of Toronto and University of Colorado, Kathryn has studied with Angela Cheng, Nelita True, Marietta Orlov, Gwen Beamish and Shirley Hawkins. She is a musician whose talent and interest are broad and varied. Kathryn has been an active freelance soloist and collaborative pianist, choral accompanist, teach and vocal coach. In addition to performing regularly she has also held the position of assistant conductor of opera productions in Italy. Corey Lyle Gemmell, violin, studied at the University of Toronto with David Zafer. Praised for ability to interpret a wide variety of music with insight, brilliance and formidable technique, he performs regularly on the CBC and tours throughout Canada, the US, Europe and Asia. His solo engagements include numerous recitals and guest appearances. He is currently concertmaster of the Hamilton Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Elgin String Quartet.
