“The CB Hornsling is simply the best way to hold a horn ever devised. It takes the weight away from the pinky finger and puts it at the fleshy, muscular part of the hand. After installation, the finger hook may be removed. Since the fourth and fifth fingers are connected to the same tendon, the Hornsling frees up the movement of the fourth finger, allowing faster fingering. You will immediately notice a lighter feeling to the left hand and a general ease and relaxation will replace the former rigidity. The most telling comparison comes later. INSTALATION - Installation of the sling takes about ten minutes. The brass stud must be soldered to the bell stem between the lead pipe and finger hook. The sling should support the entire weight of the instrument and free the fourth finger of any strain. During installation take time with your repair technician to ensure positioning of the sling suits your hand position. The sling also fits into any horn case. The piece that is perpendicular to the hand loop has Velcro for easy adjustment and will fit any horn.
