This was going to be it -- the last concert that these five members of the Canadian Brass would be sharing. Fred was leaving the group, and Jens Lindemann, the new trumpet player, was in town to hear and see the show. Unbeknownst to the group, Gene's son Keith Watts had seized this moment of history, organizing a bootleg video shot (later authorized by Gene) to capture the excitement. The result is this brilliant program displaying the Canadian Brass at its most entertaining. From the delightful commentaries of Chuck and Gene to the most important work in the Brass Quintet repertoire, Bach's Toccata and Fuge in D minor arranged by Fred.
